Our review of Chris Nickel’s Dodge is as follows:
In July 2015, we purchased a Dodge Ram Pro-master 3500 from Bob Moore Dodge in Tulsa. When we needed service, no one at Bob Moore answered their phone. So we took our vehicle to Chris Nickel’s in Broken Arrow. This dealership is a joke. On numerous visits I kept telling them that my brakes were having issues. My van was first taken in for service around 4000 miles. I returned again at 6000 miles. They said they did a full inspection and checked everything, including my windshield wipers. I looked at the receipt and it said they did all of these things. They didn’t. They simply rushed through the process and failed to do much. My windshield wipers were literally falling apart, but still under warranty.
Around 6000 miles, Chris Nickels replaced a water pump on my van. The headlights and tail lights also has to be replaced as they were full of moisture. The rear door had also broken where it would not open or shut. I again complained about the brakes. I read through the paper work and at 11900 miles, I returned against to the dealership because the brakes are under warranty until 12,000 miles. Chris Nickels turned my rotors, which was putting a band aid on the problem, not fixing it. Brake Rotors should not have to be turned until at least 40 to 50k miles. At around 17 to 18k miles, my brake rotors were completely shot. I called Chrysler’s 800# and they told me to take the vehicle to Bob Moore Dodge since Chris Nickels didn’t repair it correctly.
So for about 2 days, my van sat at Bob Moore Dodge, waiting for them to do a simple repair. This is where the real BS comes in. Because Chris Nickels did the initial repair and they did not do it correctly or do it under warranty, I was told I had to take my vehicle from Bob Moore Dodge back to Chris Nickels. Oh did I mention that while my van was at Chris Nickels they also hit my van, admitted to me in a phone call they hit it and damaged it, agreed to repair it, then when I took it in, a man by the name of ABLE told me they didn’t cause the damage but they could give me a discount on repairing it. The color of the paint on the van matched the color of their garage. I simply told him I’d turn it over to my legal team and let them deal with it. Able goes inside, claims he spoke with a manager and said their collision center would repair it at no cost to me. They did indeed do this, but my Brakes still were not fixed.
So after I wasted all this time going to Bob Moore, they could not use common sense. They charged me $130.00 to diagnose the problem even though I told them what it was. Chris Nickels acted in bad faith and never had any intentions to follow the Dodge Warranty. They scammed me.
Bob Moore Dodge decided they were going to change the oil on my van and charged me to rotate the tires but they did not rotate the tires.
I had no resolve and only the run around. At this point in time, I had to reschedule numerous appointments and both dealerships failed me over and over. All they had to do was replace the rotors but they wanted to put a band aid on the problem instead of fixing it right the first time.
I’ve wrote a post about this on our facebook page. Chris Nickels could not even take the decency to call me. He does own the dealership, but instead a few lackeys from Chris Nickels called me, but again didn’t correct the problem. After losing several thousand dollars and being put out of work for about a week, I finally broke down and had to pay a company to repair my brakes and put new rotors and pads on my 1 ton van that has had recalls on them. The dealerships blamed the weight in my van, but I’ve pointed out that the van is a 1 ton van and should have no issue carrying the small amount of weight.
Car buying season is coming up for many and I strongly encourage everyone to avoid doing business with these two dishonest companies. They will screw you over. They will do everything they can to not honor the warranty they promise you when they sell you a new vehicle.
My van has had so many problems with it that I am convinced that Bob Moore sold me a Lemon. I’m not disgruntled or having buyers remorse. I do business with everyone fairly and when I buy a vehicle, I like to know that the dealership is going to stand behind what they sell. In this case, both dealerships failed. Neither dealership has reimbursed me for my out of pocket expenses or tried to make it right. Please heed my warnings and avoid at all cost.
If you are looking for a new vehicle, I strongly suggest Bill Knight Ford or Jackie Cooper Nissan. We have purchased from both dealerships and never had an issue with either. They have always gone above and beyond and we will be customers for life.
Chris Nickels Dodge and Bob Moore Dodge are scam artist and do not stand by what they sell. Buyer beware.
Also, you can’t sue them when they don’t do what they promise. There is an Arbitration provision which puts the screws to Consumers.
